Driver Education
The Idaho Driver Education and Training Program is a formal and organized education and training program to introduce and develop good driving habits and attitudes for a lifetime of responsible, reduced-risk driving strategies. This online Driver’s Education course fulfills the requirement of 30 hours of classroom time required by the state; students/schools must separately arrange to complete the required 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and 6 hours of active backseat observation with an approved instructor in order to be eligible for an Idaho Driver’s license.
(ID Codes 33-1702(2)), 49-2102)
For the purpose of licensing, the Driver Education course is pass/fail and students must earn at least an 80% in each of these areas: classroom instruction, in-car behind the wheel instruction, and attitude to pass. This course is a Quality Matters certified online course. View full syllabus
