This course covers how the plot of a story unfolds and how the characters respond and change throughout the novel “The Watsons go to Birmingham” Students will also describe how the narrator tells a story from their point of view as well as the point of view of other characters throughout the story. For the second part of the course, the students will work on using multiple informational resources to write a persuasive letter as well as a final persuasive project. Included in the units over persuasion, students will create a Works Cited entry for each resource used as well as include in-text citations throughout their writing. This course is a Quality Matters certified online course. View full syllabus
