This is the second semester of a year-long course that includes online classroom instruction, hands on learning in a skills lab, and clinical experience. The course prepares the student to provide basic nursing care to clients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Successful completion with a minimum passing grade of 80% or better, of both A and B semesters, qualifies the student to take the Nursing Assistant skills and written examinations which are required for placement on the Idaho Nursing Assistant Registry. This course is a college-level course that uses a college adopted textbook, content and assessments that may discuss sensitive issues.  Parents and students should review the syllabus content carefully prior to enrollment and determine if this content is in alignment with their beliefs, values or principles. *Not a GEM course. View full syllabus

Have passed with at least 80% DC Certified Nursing Assistant A
