Standards First Pledge

We are proud supporters of the Standards First Pledge. As part of a community that is committed to making open standards the first and primary choice for education technology integrations, we are advocates for standards-based integrations. We believe that achieving and promoting official product certification to open standards enables a better edtech ecosystem and community and believe in fair and open business practices for suppliers. Accolades

IDLA leads the nation in the following certifications: 

  • Idaho Digital Learning Alliance employs three AWS Certified Solutions Architects
  • Idaho Digital Learning Alliance has one Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)-certified employee – the only CISSP certification in Idaho K-12
  • Idaho Digital Learning Alliance was the first K-12 in Idaho to move infrastructure to the cloud
  • Idaho Digital Learning Alliance is the first K-12 nationally to join the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC)

May 2019 – Every year at the Learning Impact Leadership Institute, IMS Global members who have gone above and beyond displaying leadership are honored. These individuals and organizations work hard to promote IMS Global, make significant contributions to developing IMS standards, and provide benefits for members and supporters to enable the future of education by collaborating on interoperability standards and major initiatives that improve the digital teaching and learning ecosystem. It is with sincere gratitude that we thank these individuals and organizations for their extraordinary effort. The award for K-12 and State Leadership was awards to Ryan Gravette, Idaho Digital Learning Alliance Director of Technology.

May 2013 – Idaho Digital Learning Alliance was named a winner of the Blackboard Catalyst Award for Exemplary Course for the Idaho Science and Aerospace Scholars Program’s online course. The course was also selected as the Director’s Choice for Courses with Distinction. The Blackboard Catalyst Exemplary Course Award highlights technologically rich, engaging, well designed, and pedagogically sound courses that showcase best practices for the user community.

April 2012 – Idaho Digital Learning Alliance was named a winner of the Blackboard Catalyst Award for Staff Development, which honors those members of the community who use Blackboard solutions to create, support and enhance faculty and staff development skills, providing a better organization-wide learning experience.

Orlando, FL – Wimba® Inc, a leading provider of collaborative solutions for educators around the world, announced its inaugural course of “Hall of Fame for Excellence in Collaboration” inductees on Tuesday, March 24, 2010 during an awards ceremony held at the company’s third annual user conference.
