This course covers vocabulary, ASL syntax and grammar, culture/history, and notable Deaf individuals for students continuing in American Sign Language (ASL). Students will learn and practice concepts such as Classifiers, Signer’s Perspective, Order of Description, Technology for the deaf, and professions within the Deaf community. They will collaborate with other ASL students using a variety of methods including discussions and videos, as well as explore some accomplishments of Deaf individuals. View full syllabus
