This course introduces the foundational concepts, practices, and impact of computer science and computational thinking. Students explore the five Big Ideas in computer science: Creative development, Data, Algorithms and Programming, Computer Systems and Networks, and the Impact of Computing. The course also emphasizes computational thinking practices, including Computational Solution Design, Algorithms and Program Development, Abstraction in Program Development, Code Analysis, Computing Innovations, and Responsible Computing.
