Welcome to American Government A! This course will meet the Idaho Standards for
Government, 1st semester. This course will help you meet your credit for American
Government, required for graduation in Idaho. We will study forms of government and
government theory, basics of the U.S. Constitution and American democracy, political
parties and the electoral process, and the legislative branch. You will be challenged as
