Astronomy is designed to expose the student to the scientific study of the Earth and the known universe. Students will learn how experimentation and observation are used to gain knowledge about the Earth, the Solar System and the Universe. Topics to be covered are the history of Astronomy, our Solar System, the Sun-Earth-Moon relationships, Light, Stars, Galaxies, Space Exploration and current scientific beliefs about the history of the formation of the Universe.  View full syllabus
