Beginning Ukulele

This course covers the basics of playing a ukulele and will have absolute beginners with no prior music experience playing full-length versions of their favorite songs by the end of it. Students will need to provide their own tuner and ukulele to use in this course, but there is no need to fret about these items before class begins. (Pun intended.) At the beginning of the course, students will learn how to choose a tuner and ukelele that are right for them.
Once students can properly hold and tune their ukuleles, they will strum along with popular songs, compose their own melodies, learn how to read tablature, and play basic chords and chord progressions. Booming with opportunities to pick up their ukes and jam, this course will leave budding musicians equipped with the routine practice, foundational knowledge, and core techniques needed to continue on their musical journeys.
