Biology A – FX
For registration information, visit the Getting Started Page:
Biology A is a course designed with the flexibility to help students complete their coursework at their own pace and schedule. Students may bypass portions of module content and assignments by showing mastery of materials and objectives on each module pretest. This course has four modules: a pre-test, coursework (including computer and teacher-graded assignments), a project or discussion-based assessment (a meeting with your teacher), and a module exam. Some coursework may be exempted based on how well you do on each module pretest. Flex courses have four module tests, two are non-proctored, and two are proctored (supervised) and required for course completion. Students are required to schedule their proctored testing with their Site Coordinator. Students who do not complete the proctored tests will have a final grade of 10% reported to the school.
You will work through coursework, labs, and activities covering the scientific method, organic compounds, cell structure, genetics, biotechnology, and biological change. View full syllabus
