The Dual Credit Computer Science Principles course is a two-semester course equivalent to an introductory college-level computer science course. Students enrolled in the Dual Credit course can earn college credits through Boise State University. Students must enroll in both Dual Credit CSP A and Dual Credit CSP B to earn credit from BSU.

This course introduces the foundational concepts, practices, and impact of computer science and computational thinking. Students explore the five Big Ideas in computer science: Creative development, Data, Algorithms and Programming, Computer Systems and Networks, and the Impact of Computing. The course also emphasizes computational thinking practices, including Computational Solution Design, Algorithms and Program Development, Abstraction in Program Development, Code Analysis, Computing Innovations, and Responsible Computing.

Concurrent Enrollment through Boise State University must be completed in the Fall. *Not a GEM course. View full syllabus
