Dual Credit Human Biology course is a two semester course equivalent to a college level course that focuses on the structure and functions of the human body. Students enrolled in the Dual Credit course will earn college credits from Northwest Nazarene University. Students must enroll in both Human Biology A and Human Biology B to earn credit from NNU.
Each of the human body systems will be studied with an emphasis on structure and function, developmental changes from infancy to old age, and common problems and diseases. You will participate in several activities including virtual labs and simulations, home science lab investigations, class discussions, and course projects. These activities require that you have met prerequisites of Algebra I, Physical Science, and Biology. Whether you enroll to learn more about how your body works, or you are interested in continuing your education in Health Professions, this course is designed to help you meet the requirements for a third year of high school science and is structured to appeal to a wide variety of mature high school students. *Not a GEM course.
