Earth Science A – Middle School

This course covers the first semester of Earth science. Students will explore Earth’s minerals and rocks, plate tectonics, geologic activity, and Earth’s history. Students will perform hands-on and virtual laboratory assignments. They will model weathering and erosion, analyze natural disasters and make predictions, utilize Google Earth to explore Earth’s surface, and create their own model representing rock layers and index fossils.  View full syllabus.
