This course covers British and American literature from the seventeenth- through the twentieth-centuries. Students will study essays and poetry from the major literary movements of these centuries. They will conduct research on a significant historical figure from the eighteenth- through twentieth-centuries, culminating in a presentation.  Students will also write a variety of responses to literature.
