This course covers how to evaluate and write the different types of informational writing, arguments, and narratives. Students will learn how to preserve academic integrity in their work by citing sources as well as how to identify reputable sources. They will also gather and evaluate data and research to use in their own informational writing. Then, they will take those skills and use them to evaluate and create a persuasive speech. Lastly, they will learn how to evaluate and write a narrative. They will complete an expository essay, a persuasive essay, a persuasive speech with a visual component, and a narrative writing piece.
