English 8A – FX

Flex Course Overview:
English 8 A is a course designed with the flexibility to help students complete their coursework at their own pace and schedule. Students may bypass portions of module content and assignments by showing mastery of materials and objectives on each module pretest. This course is divided into four modules with a pre-test, course work (including computer and teacher graded assignments), a project or discussion based assessment (a meeting with your teacher), and a module exam. Based on how well you do on each module pretest, some coursework may be exempted. However, if this material is not passed again on the unit post test, exempted assignments may then be required. There is no high-stakes final exam; just shorter incremental exams in each module, two of which must be scheduled with a proctor.
