French 2B

In French 2B, students will be exposed to a variety of advanced vocabulary on topics
such as vacations, staying healthy and eating good foods, the environment and
conservation, science and technology, museums and art, the working world, love, and
money. Students will also practice with several advanced grammatical concepts such
as using the past tenses with both avoir and être correctly, the imperative, irregular
adjectives in the superlative, the imperfect tense, direct and indirect object pronouns,
using savoir and connaitre correctly, forming the simple future tense, and finally,
learning how to form and use the subjunctive tense correctly in French. Students will
continue to read, write, and speak this beautiful language throughout the semester-long
course and they will also participate in on-line collaborative efforts such as discussion
boards and wikis. The course will culminate with a student-created project that will
demonstrate all they have learned from the previous seven units. View full syllabus
