Geometry B

Credit recovery courses include a daily attendance requirement in addition to asynchronous instruction to provide students with a high level of learning. IDLA will provide the course content, Learning Management System, teachers, and internal support staff.  Districts will provide local personnel to support the students with intervention support, social-emotional support, physical and/or virtual technical access to courses, and transcription of credits.

 

Lessons include graded learning activities integrated within the content and are worth 60% of the overall grade.  Certified teachers check in on students frequently and attendance is recorded when a student logs in and completes some work each day.  There is no high-stakes final exam; just shorter incremental exams in each unit that are worth 40% of the overall grade.  Students must complete all exams to pass the course.

 

Course Description: This course covers the second semester of a two semester Geometry course that aligns to the Idaho Core standards for high school mathematics. Students will learn concepts of Geometry that include coordinate geometry, right triangle trigonometry, circles, volume, conics and modeling. They will practice these mathematical concepts in a variety of forms and applications. Students will employ the standards of mathematical practice as they work through course material.
