This semester-long high school course establishes patterns of behavior that help you achieve complete health. This is accomplished by having a balance of physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. Developing a healthy body and a healthy mind paves the way for active, productive, and successful lives. All course materials are provided online.

This course addresses content related to human biology, development, and reproduction. Parents or guardians who wish to exempt their student from this unit may do so by submitting a written request via email to the student’s teacher. An alternative unit will be provided, and no academic penalty will be applied. The course does not cover human sexuality and complies with Idaho Code §33-1609 and 33-1611A.

The Idaho State Department of Education requires all public school students to be instructed in Hands-Only CPR as part of a health/ wellness course. This includes instruction and demonstration, as well as information on AED (Automated External Defibrillator). This course meets that requirement.
