This course covers Social, Emotional, and Physical Health. Students will learn how to make good choices in both their behavior and as consumers of health products and services. They’ll gain an understanding of the issues involved in complete health and wellness, and in maintaining a healthy lifestyle that allows them to experience a high quality of life.
This course addresses content related to human biology, development, and reproduction. Parents or guardians who wish to exempt their student from this unit may do so by submitting a written request via email to the student’s teacher. An alternative unit will be provided, and no academic penalty will be applied. The course does not cover human sexuality and complies with Idaho Code §33-1609 and 33-1611A.
