Physics A

This course covers physics the study of the world around us and the laws of nature that govern that world. The first semester of physics will cover the topics the mathematics used in Physics, motion (one dimensional and projectile motion), forces, Newton’s Laws, gravity, circular motion, collisions and momentum, work and energy. This is an algebra-based introductory physics class. A student who has completed geometry will adapt well to this course work.
Idaho Lab Science Requirement: This course fulfills the lab science requirement by the State of Idaho in that there are weekly opportunities to manipulate equipment, materials, specimens or develop skills in observation and analysis and discover, demonstrate, illustrate or test scientific principles or concepts.
