US History 11A

Welcome to U.S. History 11A. This is the first of a two-semester course that aims to give students a general understanding of the political, economic, and social changes within American society from the beginning of the 20th Century (Gilded Age) through World War II. We will be looking at a few primary sources that highlight each era as they are covered. There were fifteen presidents during the years that this course covers and each one is important. However, two of these United States presidents were notably significant and influential and we will study them in some detail. Those presidents are Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt and his second cousin, Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR). This course is a Quality Matters certified online course. View full syllabus
