This course introduces students to the scientific study of animals, exploring how zoologists classify, observe, and understand animal life. Students investigate major ecosystems, from oceans and rainforests to deserts, tundras, savannas, and prairies, and the unique adaptations that help animals survive in each. The course also examines animal behaviors, including communication, migration, and social interactions. In the final unit, students explore endangered species and conservation efforts aimed at protecting biodiversity. By the end, students will have a broader understanding of the animal kingdom and the role humans play in its future.
